ADA Compliance Plan/Public Mtg.
The city of Rio Rancho’s Public Works Department, in cooperation with the New Mexico Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, held an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance public meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in the Governing Body Chambers of Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle. City staff was available and a formal presentation was given.
The purpose of the meeting was to review upcoming ADA roadway infrastructure compliance inspections as well as remediation compliance construction projects. The city’s draft transition plan to address these needs can be reviewed below.
The Public Works Department has sought public input on the grievance procedures for citizens to notify staff of potential ADA roadway noncompliance issues. Citizen input was collected at the Feb. 20 public meeting, and comments were collected online.
