Lane Restrictions Related to Water Service Line Replacement

Work taking place may require roadway lane restrictions between 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. When this occurs detour routes will be noted with signs.

Lane Restrictions for Wagon Train Drive-related work (August 14 - September 11, 2014): Wagon Train Drive between Conestoga Road and Zaragoza Road, and Wagon Train Drive between Zaragoza Road and Summer Winds Drive.

Sunflower Drive–related work August 11 – 25, 2014: The southbound lane on Sunflower Drive from Southern Boulevard to Pecos Loop and from Pecos Loop to Idalia Road will be closed, and traffic will be detoured at Pecos Loop to Orchid Drive and at Idalia Road to Orchid Drive.

Quixote Drive-related work August 26 – September 3, 2014: the eastbound lane will be closed from Atlantic Road to El Morro Drive.  Motorists will be detoured on Atlantic Road to Saffin Drive.

Currently March 2014 through September 22, 2014

Monday through Friday

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Both directions will have various lane closures for roadway construction

Traffic Alert: Funeral Escort on Monday, Aug. 25

The Rio Rancho Police Department will be diverting traffic on Monday, Aug. 25 due to a funeral escort. The escort will be conducted in honor of Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputy Shannon Key.

On Golf Course Road, the closure will extend from Ann Circle to Westside Boulevard. Golf Course Road will be closed at approximately 9 a.m. to facilitate access to Mesa Baptist Church. The roadway will be reopened once the escort has reached the church.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Golf Course Road traffic will be diverted to facilitate the escort’s travel out of Rio Rancho. At approximately 11:45 a.m., N.M. 528 and Westside Boulevard will be closed as the escort passes into Albuquerque and continues onto Alameda Boulevard.

Updated information is posted as it becomes available. Motorists traveling within construction zones are urged to drive with caution and observe traffic control devices. Remember to always wear your seat belt and drive the speed limit.
