Starting Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, the eastbound lanes on Enchanted Hills Boulevard from Bismark Hills Way to Sprint Boulevard will be closed, and the westbound lanes will be utilized for two-way traffic. The speed limit within this area will be 25 mph.

In addition, Lawrence Drive will not have access to Enchanted Hills Boulevard. Northbound traffic will be detoured east to Mackenzie Drive and have access to Enchanted Hills Boulevard via Montreal Loop.

Beginning on Monday February 1, 2010, through Friday February 26, 2010, from 9 am to 3 pm flagging operations will be in effect at Enchanted Hills Blvd. and the Paseo del Volcan allignment to allow construction cross-traffic for earthwork hauling. Expect delays.

Road restrictions and detours are expected to last through early 2010.

This is a Double Fine Zone.

This work is part of the Paseo Del Volcan Construction project.

Crews will perform paving work on Idalia Road from Abrazo Road to Unser Boulevard from Monday, February 1 through Friday, February 19, 2010.

Motorists should expect minor delays when traveling in this area.

Traffic is switched from all four approaches to new roadway while roundabout is constructed in the middle of the intersection. The work zone speed limit is 25 mph.

Construction of Paseo del Volcan is currently ongoing. Shoulder work is occurring along U.S. 550 and in the vicinity of Paseo del Volcan and Iris Road.

Beginning on Monday, January 18, 2010, through mid-April 2010 contractor crews will be working on the installation of a traffic signal and miscellaneous improvements at this intersection.

Phase I of this project will involve underground utility work and minor roadway construction. This work is expected to last through mid-February.

Phase II of the project will commence in late March and last through mid-April. It will consist of the traffic signal hardware installation.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, through spring 2010, work to replace water mains and reconstruct Western Hills Drive from Southern Boulevard to Unser Boulevard, and Nicklaus Drive from Southern Boulevard to Broadmoor Boulevard, will take place.

Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Intermittent restrictions and short delays will occur. Motorists are advised to adhere to posted detour routes, speed limits and one-way restrictions.  All vehicles need to be removed from street parking and will be towed if left on the street during construction activity hours.

Upcoming Work: Week of February 8, 2010:

1) Western Hills Drive between Lariat Road and Wagon Train Drive. The road will be restricted to one-way, northbound traffic. Northbound traffic will be diverted to the left lane while the right lane is closed for milling and paving. The intersections of Western Hills Drive and Stagecoach Road, Stallion Road and Wagon Train Drive will be closed intermittently during the week for paving or construction of concrete valley gutters.

2) Western Hills Drive between Wagon Train Drive and Lema Road. This section of Western Hills Drive will be closed through approximately February 15, 2010, barring any inclement weather or an unforeseeable change in the schedule. Access to residences located on Western Hills Drive between Wagon Train Drive and Lema Road will be allowed; however, access to residential driveways may be temporarily restricted during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please follow the posted detours for northbound travel on Western Hills Drive during the above closure.

3) Nicklaus Drive between Lariat Road and Bogie Road. The road will maintain two-way traffic; however, the west side of Nicklaus Drive will be closed. Water service tie-ins for residences will begin. If traffic is restricted on your side of the street, please place your trash and recycling bins at the edge of the open driving lane so Waste Management trucks can access your waste bins.

4) Nicklaus Drive between Bogie Road and Broadmoor Drive. The road will maintain two-way traffic; however, the north side of Nicklaus Drive will be closed. Water service tie-ins for residences between West Island Drive and Broadmoor Drive will continue. Residents may also experience brief, temporary water service interruptions while hydrants and side street waterlines are connected to the new water main line.

5) Colorado Mountain Road between Idalia Road and Gazelle Road will be closed to thru-traffic.
