Fourth of July Parade (Saturday, July 3, 2010)

The deadline to register and pay applicable fees for the Fourth of July Parade is Friday, June 25, 2010.

The fee to take part in the parade is $15 per youth/church float or group; $20 per non-organization affiliated float or group; and $25 per political campaign float or group.

Payment can be made at the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department offices at Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle NE, or over the phone at (505) 891-5015. The city accepts credit cards (Visa, Discover and MasterCard), checks and cash.

Assembly for the parade will be on Country Club Drive, north of Southern Boulevard beginning at 9 a.m. The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m., and the route is east down Southern Boulevard to the Veterans Monument Park located on Pinetree Road.

For safety reasons there will be no tossing of candy or other items by participants to spectators during the parade.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: The participating organizations and its agents, assigns, and employees (hereinafter known as “Participant”) agree to procure and maintain at its own expense all necessary insurance for itself and its participating members. The Participant agrees to assume the risk of all and any hazards or injuries or both which the Participant may incur in the course of participation in the Fourth of July Parade. The Participant aggress to forever release and discharge the City of Rio Rancho and its officers, officials, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, and damages, expenses, or charges which may arise during or because of participating in the above mentioned parade resulting from any claims of any person for personal injury or property damages.
