  3. Governing Body Mtg.

    July 23, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall, Governing Body Chambers

    Regular Governing Body meetings take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are streamed on the city's Web site and broadcasted on the city's government cable channel RioVision (available to Rio Rancho Cable One subscribers).

  4. Movies Under the Stars

    July 25, 8:30 PM @ Cabezon Park

    Family friendly movies will be shown on a large inflatable screen on the following Friday nights: June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, July 18, July 25, Aug. 1, and Aug. 15. Movies will begin at dusk and all ages are welcome. Blankets, folding chairs and picnic baskets are encouraged, and restrooms will be available. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted. Movies will be canceled due to inclement weather including wind and lighting. Weather cancellations will be made one hour prior to the start of the movie.

  6. Summer Music Series

    July 27, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Haynes Park

    From May through August on Sunday nights, all ages can enjoy free, live music starting at 6:30 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic to hear a variety of different music styles played at the park’s Rotary Club Barbeque Pavilion.

  7. CIPCAC Mtg.

    July 28, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall

    Capital Improvements Plan Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CIPCAC) meetings take place quarterly. In 2014, meetings are scheduled to take place on January 27, April 28, July 28, and October 27. In addition, a special meeting is scheduled for February 5.

  8. The Songwriting Method: Workshop Taught by Jose Antonio Ponce

    July 28, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium

    Loma - The New Mexico Music Awards Songwriter’s Initiative presents The Songwriting Method. This program will teach the basics of songwriting to beginning composers and will help established songwriters refine their method. It will also cover the basics of copyright, publishing and marketing your music to film, TV, gaming and other commercial outlets.
