Youth Commission
The commission consists of students from Rio Rancho and Cleveland High School student government classes.

Appointments to the Youth Commission take place at the start of the school year and are selected by students from their respective student government classes.

The commission meets approximately once per month during the school year, and receives a presentation related to municipal government from city of Rio Rancho staff.  Following these meetings, the representatives from each high school give a presentation/update to their student government class summarizing their previous commission meeting and what was discussed.

On a semi-regular basis, the commission attends a Rio Rancho Governing Body meeting at Rio Rancho City Hall and updates the Governing Body on commission meetings and the presentations they have received, and provides information and updates regarding projects/initiatives each high school student council/student government class is undertaking and/or recently completed.
