Great American Cleanup Kickoff

The City of Rio Rancho’s Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful Division (KRRB) is holding its annual Great American Cleanup Registration Kickoff Party on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Otero's Dairy Queen located at 2116 Southern Blvd. While supplies last, free root beer floats will be available to those who register to participate in the City’s April 29, 2017 Great American Cleanup event.

The April 29 cleanup event, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon, is ideal for schools, businesses, civic groups, neighborhood associations, service organizations, and individuals wanting to volunteer and improve their community. Activities will include cleaning trash and debris from public lands, road right-of ways, and parks throughout the City. Following cleanup work, a thank you party for volunteers will take place at Haynes Park featuring refreshments and giveaways.

Each year Keep America Beautiful, and affiliate organizations such as the state’s New Mexico Clean & Beautiful Division and KRRB, coordinate the Great American Cleanup. This event is the nation’s largest community improvement program. As part of this cleanup, millions of volunteers donate their time to beautify and improve communities through different events in all 50 states.
